Performance 'Crash' May 22 Sculpture Garden Ravesteyn

On May 22 at 8:00 PM, Jan Doms' new performance 'Crash' took place as the opening of the 30th edition of the Sculpture Exhibition Ravesteyn in Heenvliet, south of Rotterdam, Netherlands.

 

The following artists collaborated to create this dramatic performance:

 

Jan Doms - concept and direction 

Tycho van Brink - bagpipe player

Hasmik Tangyan - dancer/performer

Simon Haen - decor artist

With this performance 'Crash' Jan Doms connects in a dynamic and compelling way the three sculptural installations - 'Crashing Bomber' / 'Submarine' / 'Ukrainian Humvee' - 'Talking Heads' - that he created especially for this unique garden with the Ravesteyn ruins at its heart.

 

Through the sparkling combination of bagpipe music, modern dance and movement and special theatrical effects, he brings the whole to life and thus articulates the reference to today's world, which is full of violence and war.
